Crescent Falls Gold

I spent a weekend exploring the area just west of Nordegg, Alberta. On the Saturday I explored a number of potential photography subjects in that area and I visited Crescent Falls three times during the day – the first visit it was a cloudless sky and the light was too harsh, the second time there were a ton of visitors which made it difficult to get photographs, but the third time was a charm as the sky had clouded over and the had people disappeared leaving me to take a number of photographs of different aspects of the Falls and the river leading away. This cropping of rocks had a strong gold colour and I love how the water flows over it relentlessly. Several people have said that printed versions of this photograph look like a painting.
