Tangled Aspens

Description

This stand of Aspens was by the side of the highway near Turner Valley Alberta. It speaks to the ongoing struggle that plays out between different species of trees – in this case Aspens tangled up with several bramble type plants. I spent a lot of time editing this image to retain the sense of entanglement without making the photograph feel like a jumbled mess. Essentially communicating a feel of being tangled but in a way that is visually and mentally calming.
